Fiji: Qamea Resort and Spa

Qamea is a breathtakingly beautiful island of lush, green, tropical rainforest clad hills and white sand beaches. Qamea Resort and Spa is an intimate boutique resort catering to a maximum of 28 adults with only fourteen luxuriously appointed beachfront bures and villas, all with sweeping views of the ocean and sunsets.

Qamea's eleven ocean view bures all have thatched roofs and were built in traditional Fijian style, with soaring 20 foot ceilings and hand polished local mahogany hardwood floors. All are spacious with over 650 square feet including a large covered deck, with comfortable lounge furniture and an unobstructed view of the ocean and sunset. All bures have air conditioning, fully stocked mini bar, tea and French press coffee making facilities, ceiling fan, king size bed, separate living area, and antique Fijian art. The bures also boast large bathrooms, heated towel rack, hair dryer, outdoor river stone courtyard showers, and complimentary Pure Fiji (brand) amenities. In addition to the eleven beachfront bures, the Resort also offers a split level 1,200 square foot Honeymoon Villa. The upper level is the bedroom, and two steps take you down to the lounge. The bedroom is appointed with a king size bed, large wardrobe, vanity unit, lounge chair and decorative mosquito net over the bed. The lounge offers all of the same amenities, in a larger and more luxurious setting. The Villa also boasts a private outdoor river stone courtyard with both an outdoor shower and jacuzzi spa pool.

The cuisine at Qamea can best be described as South Pacific Rim, which is similar to California Cuisine. The fruits and vegetables are organic, and if not from the Resorts gardens, are flown in three times a week from New Zealand and Australia as well as the beef and poultry. All of the seafood is local, caught daily by two Qamea fishermen. For breakfast we do not have a menu. You order whatever you like, and our chefs will be sure not to disappoint you. For Lunch and Dinner, you will have a choice of two entrees (starters) and two mains to choose from. But don't worry, if what we are offering is not to your liking, we can surely offer alternative choices. Our chefs are also able to cater for all special dietary requirements.

While you may decide to lounge the day away on the beach or by the free form swimming pool, if it is activities and adventure you seek, Qamea has that also. Guests can avail themselves of a wide range of complimentary activities including snorkeling, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, hiking, croquet, village visits and lots more.
